The Completed Works
Now completed and revealed for the first time, the newly commissioned works demonstrate the breadth of artistic and material possibilities embedded within Matek™. Across sculpture, furniture, collectible design and spatial works, the participating artists transform an industrial circular material into objects that move between utility and artistic expression.

Highlights include Cathrine Raben Davidsen’s Parsifal 01, a folding screen composed of collaged Matek panels connected by custom steel hinges that moves between painting, object and architecture; Sophie Dries’ Stria candleholders, which reveal the geological qualities of turned Matek through layered patterns, inclusions and tonal variation; and Lea Colombo’s ATOM Stool, a sculptural object inspired by sacred geometry, energetic relationships and atomic structures.

Other contributions include Onno Adriaanse’s Pyrite Side Table, which translates the crystalline complexity of geological formations into a functional object; Jacob Egeberg’s Monolith Table, a brutalist lounge table with a stone-like surface inspired by weathered travertine and architectural reliefs; Forever Studio’s Patos stools, informed by the broad organic structure of a tree; Filippo Andrighetto’s Space Invader, a side table drawing on the visual language of early arcade gaming and urban mosaics; and Oliver Thygesen’s Rooted, a coffee table exploring Matek´s material ancestry through wood, transformation and growth.

Though created from the same material, no two works arrive at the same conclusion. Together, they demonstrate how a shared material framework can generate vastly different artistic and design expressions. The newly released imagery offers a first look at the completed works ahead of their presentation during 3daysofdesign 2026.
