This lithograph draw on the myth of Argos Panoptes from Ovid’s Metamorphoses—the many-eyed guardian condemned to perpetual vigilance. In a world marked by instability, crisis, and continuous change, Argos emerges as a figure of endurance: one who remains awake when rest is impossible, who continues to witness when turning away would be easier.
Argos embodies a state of sustained awareness that resonates deeply with the present condition.
